{ Engaged } Jenni and Steve — Chicago Wedding and Portrait Photography

Steve and Jenni…. Oh, where to start.  I’ve known these two for the past 6 years–well, Jenni for 6 and Steve for 4.  Jenni was my Maid of Honor at my wedding, and I will be hers at their wedding.  Jenni was an English major in undergrad, so her MOH speech was just superb.  She has a way about words that I could never dream of.  She can make common words sing, and lesser-often-used words soar.  She can make anything sound interesting.  Because of that, I’m a bit nervous about this blog post and about my MOH speech next summer.  I just hope that they both can do Jenni and Steve justice.

Jenni and Steve are both quite distinct people.  Jenni majored in English and Film, and Steve majored in Engineering and Philosophy.  Who would have thought that an engineer and and film connoisseur could hit it off so well?  Why ME of course… haha.  Though I did not say to Jenni, “you should go and date Steve,” or vice versa, I accidentally was tricked to let loose a couple of secrets that, when they got out, encouraged the two of them to be more than just friends. Since then, they make fun of me for being a poor secret-keeper, but in all fairness, if I had kept the secrets, the two of them might not be where they are today.

I am SO happy for Jenni and Steve.  It makes me smile just to think about how happy they are.  They love being together, and they love to make each other laugh. Since I couldn’t give them the gift of their wedding photography–being the MOH and all, I knew I at least had to take their engagement photographs in Chicago.  We had a lot of great laughs along the way.  Take a look and enjoy the ride!
