Let me warn you ahead of time! This blog post will be the start of the whirlwind adventure that I took this summer with Mich and Andy! Two dresses, two countries, English flare, and amazing people! We started off in good ‘ole Indianapolis with an English/American engagement session in Broad Ripple. Mich and Andy showed their multicultural pride with fun umbrellas, galoshes, and tea cups. If you didn’t have a chance to check it out earlier, head over there now. Next, they had a beautiful wedding at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Regions Tower Terrace also in Indianapolis. The ceremony was just gorgeous and the reception was one of the most energetic receptions I’ve ever been to. The rooftop at the Regions Tower was just PERFECT for Mich’s and Andy’s celebrations. Patti and the team sure do know how to pull together something amazing!!
Then, we were off to England for:
1. An engagement session round 2 at the most beautiful places in the English countryside (Burghley House “one of England’s greatest Elizabethan houses,” Foxton Locks, the countryside itself, and more!). View Now!
2. A hat-making Hen Party (Bachelorette Party) at Hats from the Hall in Mountsorrel Leicestershire
3. A beautiful celebration of the life of Kate Short — one of Mich’s best friends who left this world too early
4. A Stag party (Bachelor Party) at Nags Head in Market Harborough full of darts, poker, and good fun.
5. The glorious second reception in England at Shearsby Bath in Shearsby, Leicestershire.
I will be blogging the rest of these events very soon!
Mich and Andy, I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful fun that I had joining you in your wedding adventure!! And, without further ado, to the pictures!!!
^^ Mich looking at her custom engagement guestbook for the first time. It was a hit!
^^ Mich wrote her note to Andy on a Jimmy Johns napkin.
^^ Mich and Andy are after my own heart–a Notre Dame garter!! I love it!! This ladybug Pandora charm was sewn into the garter in memory of Mich’s best friend Katie. What a touching addition!
^^ I just LOVE Mich’s ring!!
^^ Now, that’s a proud father of the bride!!
^^ I love that Mich had a horse and carriage take her to the church!
^^ Getting ready to walk down the aisle!!
^^ I think Andy is happy!!
^^ The little flower girl loved walking down the aisle soo much, she wanted to do it again, and again, and again!
^^ I love all of the English flare!! Look at those awesome hats!
^^ Andy is proudly wearing his Notre Dame class ring!!! oh, yeah!!
^^ Um… LOVE THIS!
^^ This has to be one of the best “jumping” shots ever!!! Andy = Hulk!
^^ Mich and Andy saw an Indian family taking photos. They thought they’d join in! hahaha!
^^ Photobomb!!
^^ It was Mich’s horse from earlier in the day.
^^ This is a cake/Croquembouche (carmel-covered profiteroles) combination. Mich doesn’t like cake and Andy LOVES cake. So they made an awesome compromise! It tasted SO good!
^^ Mich changing into dress #2!
^^ Mich’s niece, Antonia, sang and played for the First Dance. It was amazing. Look out world, Antonia is a rock star!
^^ I love that Angela and Zac were able to make it to Mich and Andy’s wedding. I had the pleasure of photographing Angela and Zac’s wedding just a few weeks before.
^^ Gorgeous sunset!!
