Mill Top Wedding

Every time I sit down to write up a blog post about a recent client, the same words come to me over and over: My clients ROCK!!! And I am SUPER lucky to have been a part of their special day. Sometimes I feel like a bit of a broken record, but it couldn’t be more true.

Take Luci and Matthew, for example. The way he gazes at her… ahhh… It’s SO wonderful. He doesn’t just look at her, he LOOKS at her.  You can see it in his eyes and his expression that he is totally and utterly in love with his bride.  Right before they saw each other for the first time during their First Look, he started pacing. I asked him if everything was okay, and he replied, “Yes! But I feel like my heart is racing. I’m so nervous/eager to see Luci!!”  That just made my heart melt (and almost tear up on the spot).  Oh! And the way Luci feels his love for her.  Her smile gets bigger. Her eyes twinkle and maybe even get a bit teary eyed.  When Matthew sent Luci a rose and a sweet note that morning, everything stopped in her world. Nothing else was happening around her. It was just her remembering the value of the day: She was to be married to her best friend in a few hours.

My! Oh! My!  My heart is melting just thinking (and typing) about the joy and love that these two share.  Thank you, oh, thank you, Matthew and Luci for letting me be there—to experience your amazing love and joy for each other. Many Blessings to you both for a long and happy marriage!!!

Q&A with Luci
Me: What was the best part of your wedding day?
Luci: The best part of my wedding day was seeing my soon to be husband for the first time on our wedding day.  I wasn’t sure about the “first look” because it’s not traditional, but I’m so glad we did.  It was so calming to see Matthew before the ceremony, he is the only one who understood exactly how I was feeling that day and it was really great to be able to see my best friend before one of the biggest moments of my life.
Me: What was the most memorable moment?
Luci: Matthew sent his best man down to the bridal suite to bring me a rose and a card.  In the card was written the most sincere and loving words I have ever read.  From my waking moment that day it was about hair, makeup, food, flowers, etc.  When that gift came it brought me back to the beautiful reality that was going to happen that day.  It made me even more excited to marry the man that God made for me.
Me: Do you have any advice for future brides and grooms?
Luci: Utilize your friends and family for help.  This is a big day and a lot of little details start to add up.  It can be overwhelming after you start making a list and realize how many different things you have to do.  Also, be prepared to make a lot of decisions.  It’s all about you…for real… your opinion matters and everyone expects it.  Embrace it though, because there has never been and may never be another time when it’s all about you, your a queen for a day.
Me: Where did you go on vacation, and what was your favorite part?
Luci: We went to Montego Bay Jamaica.  Favorite part… that’s hard!  There are so many.  Candlelight dinner on the beach, swim up bars, snorkeling, party cruise.  A 6 day blissful introduction to married life.
