Classic to Crafty: Wedding Stationary

Classic to Crafty: Wedding Stationary

Whether you’re sending Save the Dates or Wedding Invitations, set the mood for your wedding right from the start! Use your wedding stationary to do far more than just inform your guests about your approaching I do’s.

 Research Like Crazy

Hesitant about designing a truly unique stationary? Keep on smiling because people have already done the work for you. Take a look at popular wedding sites, Etsy, and Google for designs. Replicate some of the design elements that you enjoy from each of them.

Consistency in color theme and style

Whatever you decide for your wedding invitations, reflect the color and font that you will use for your wedding. Basically, maintain the style and themes. It wouldn’t make sense to use a bright orange wedding invitation and for a classic black and white wedding. But if you want to, do it. It is your wedding  🙂

 Get some help

If you know what you want your stationary to look like but don’t have the experience or are hesitant to try your hand at designing, get some help by a graphic designer or printing company. Graphic designers range from affordable to…not so affordable. Do a little research on pricing. Printer companies oftentimes have their own set of graphic designers onsite too. Be sure to check out Jupiter and Juno. They are the ones who designed and printed the letterpress in the blog photos. 🙂

Reflect your personalities

Most importantly, make sure your invitations reflect your personality. Wedding invitations can be classic and simple or even be fun and creative. From simple wedding paper to puzzles to 3D hidden messages, your wedding invitations should reflect your personalities and relationship in every possible way.
