Brainstorming Engagement Photo Shoot Themes
When brainstorming possible ideas for your engagement photo shoot, don’t be afraid to include ideas that are safe, crazy and everything in-between. Here are a few ideas to start getting you thinking:
— What makes you two unique? Your photos should perfectly reflect who you two are as a couple. Love to read? Dance? Go to the movies? Eat? Go to Comic Con? Whatever it is, let your photographer know.
— Can you think of any special places? If there is a special place, let your photographer know ahead of time so they can scope the area out.
— If you could sum up your relationship with 5 adjectives, what would they be? Use these to help you develop ideas. Unsure how? Tell your photographer your adjectives and have them help you.
And some helpful advice for your photo shoot:
— Don’t be afraid of less than ideal weather. You wake up the day of your engagement shoot and see it snowing or raining. Your immediate emotion is distress. No sunny day to bless this day? Don’t break a sweat! Photo shoots in the sun are great, but rain and snow add an extra element of fun and depth to photos too. Some cool shots have been taken while couples played and danced in the rain!
— Communicate with your photographer. Are you uncomfortable in a certain pose or location? If your mind is on your discomfort, you aren’t living in the moment and your discomfort will show in your eyes. If you’re ever uncomfortable, let your photographer know. They’ll be more than happy to make sure you’re comfy and happy.
— And lastly, feel the love. This is your engagement photo shoot. Make sure to make googly eyes at each other, exchange sweet smiles, and cupcake like crazy!!!!
